Colemanville Bridge

Although built in 1856, Colemanville Bridge has been rebuilt several times, most recently in the 1990's -- Evans and Evans show a photograph of the rebuilding in process. At this point, Pequea Creek is a dynamic stream, close to its mouth, and has swept the bridge off its abutments at twice.
The View 'Longside
As we look 'longside the new bridge, we see some weathering where the Burr arch is next to the siding. Could the rebuilding contractors have possibly used cheap paint? Surely not!
Another Portal View
Nearby the bridge is the Pequea Creek Recreation Area, with a picnic area and a footbridge across the creek.
