Green Sergeant's Covered Bridge

New Jersey never had many covered bridges, and today has only one historic covered bridge remaining. (Well, almost!) Green Sergeant's Covered Bridge is situated near Flemington (and its factory outlets) in Hunterdon County, New Jersey. No, New Jersey is not paved from border to border, and Hunterdon County is not the stereotype most people have of New Jersey. Green Sergeant's Bridge is a distinctive one, with a modified Queenpost truss that suggests, but is not quite, a Burr Truss. (But compare the Glen Hope bridge, which is listed as a Burr Truss bridge but isn't -- quite).
