Jackson's Mill Bridge is in a remote area of southeastern Lancaster County, crossing the west branch of Octoraro Creek. Jackson's is said to be the least seen Covered Bridge in Lancaster County, presumably because of its isolated location. It is also said to be the only Lancaster County bridge that is built diagonally with respect to the stream. "Apparently the saw mill located on one side when it was built and a large rock formation on the other side forced the builders to place it on the diagonal." (Evans and Evans, p. 137). Jackson's Mill Bridge was damaged in 1984 and rebuilt.
