Mercer's Mill Bridge
Mercer's Mill Bridge is shared by Lancaster and Chester Counties, as it crosses Octoraro Creek, the boundary between the counties. It is the widest of the Lancaster County bridges, at 14'5" of "clear roadway," but still a one-lane bridge. A red-sided bridge in a scenic rural area, it is as picturesque as it is remote.

An Unusual Opening on the Northwest Side
Many Lancaster County bridges have windows for oncoming traffic. Mercer's Mill is unusual in having a window on only one side.
