Closed in early, 1994, the Pleasantville Bridge is distinguished by an unusual truss system in which a triple arch reinforces vertical posts without the usual diagonal (multiple kingpost) bracing. It was originally build as an open bridge by David Renno in 1852. It was not covered at that time due to a lumber shortage resulting from the flood of 1850. By 1856, however, the bridge had been covered by Jonathon Bitner. This required the third arch and vertical bracing.
