Wertz's Bridge

Located in a local park near Reading, Wertz's bridge is known as the "bridge to nowhere," since it is closed to traffic. It is the longest single-span covered bridge in Pennsylvania, having originally spanned the Union canal as well as Tulpehocken Creek. The Berks County Heritage Park, in which it is situated, includes some other historic points of interest.
