The Price Axis

You have chosen the vertical axis. In a supply-demand diagram, the market price is measured along the vertical axis -- in such a way that the height of the point is proportional to the market price. Since we usually think of the price as the independent variable in the supply and demand relationships, putting it on the vertical axis violates a mathematical convention -- but if that doesn't bother you, don't bother with the link. Just go on to the next step, or try the diagram again.
