Next Chapter: MoneyA major objective of macroeconomic thinking is to understand these problems. Our strategy is to explore the working of a market economic system as a whole. More often than not, that means "the economic system of a nation" as a whole, although many of the same ideas are also applied to a region within a nation, and they might be applied to the world as a whole. Our next step will be to investigate two aspects of the economic systems of nations: monetary systems and international trade.
